God Bless America!
The Christmas season is upon us and we are reminded of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. The picture below is from the movie “The Nativity”. Mike Rich creates a poignant representation of what he believed to be the life of Joseph and Mary before and after Mary was chosen to rear the son of God. Catherine Hardwicke showed inspired direction. I felt as though I was seeing the gospels unfold before my eyes.

Truly the eyes of the cast and crew were opened to some spiritual insight from above. Because as I watched I could feel my heart burn within breast as if a voice telling me that what I am watching is the truth.
I am grateful that such movies are made. In a world such as this it is difficult to stand up for traditional Christian values without feeling the heat from those that would wish to push God out of every aspect of our lives. It is unfortunate that such headway has been gained from such wicked men and women. Schools all across the country have banned the mere mention of God in the class room. After school bible classes have been disbanded so as to not offend anyone. Even simple signs of faith such as, monuments of the ten commandments, Christmas trees, colored Christmas lights, and signs that say Merry Christmas are being removed from public places so that the atheists are not offended.
The first amendment of the constitution states that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” The religious freedoms that our forefathers intended for us to enjoy are being stripped from us, in direct violation of the first amendment. Our children may no longer “peaceably assemble” after school to discuss the scriptures and in many instances the “redress of grievances” is being denied in favor of the Godless.
I salute those that stand up peaceably to make a positive change in this world. It is by God fearing men and women that get involved in the political and public arena that will uphold this nation, even if it is by a thread. The day that we as a nation rest our laurels and forget the Lord is the day that He withdraws his hand of protection from us, and we will be subject to persecution and wars, both internal and external, on our own shores.
We need to love another and to fight for our the liberty of our family and friends. And most importantly we need to fight for our freedom to worship however, wherever and whomever we choose. If we don’t raise the flag of liberty then surely it will be torn from our hands by those that wish for our demise.
I will strive to emulate the words of Marianne Williamson in her book, A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of a Course in Miracles.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so
that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other
people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.”
Wickedness never rests as it proselytizes of the world. It’s time that we cast off our fear and do our best to bring back those that have been lost. On the Lord’s side is the only side were peace and freedom will reign.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
